Graphic design

The area of activity of the FirstField studio is not limited to projects connected with video production – editing, animation, video materials processing, etc. Graphic design, elements of which are present in all directions of the Studio activity, manifests itself as a separate direction of activity.

Graphic design is the basis of all works in computer graphics, animation, industrial design, production of commercials and presentation materials. This is an element, without which it is impossible to carry out all these types of activities. The FirstField studio employees are high quality specialists in graphic design, who are capable to get results satisfying the most demanding customers.

Many projects done by the FirstField studio in the sphere of graphic design for printing industry, presentation materials, video and television testify for high quality of production. The Last Hero reality show is the most widely known project, for which the Studio produced graphic materials. A whole package of materials was developed for this project. Its basic components included development of a graphic style, logos, visual design of broadcasting, contests, titles, etc. Later on, computer graphics and video editing were used to integrate these components into the television show, commercials, and printed materials. The unified single style assured strong recognizability of the Last Hero brand name; attract additional viewers to the follow-up projects.

Another equally famous project, in which elements of graphic design of the FirstField studio were used, is the Night Watch film. The Studio developed a corporate design and a logo, which were used both in graphic design of the film captions, and in printed version of the Night Watch book, which was released simultaneously with the film. It is the graphic design especially that of the logo, developed by the FirstField studio, became a trademark of both the film and the book. The presence of visually recognizable trademark, distinctly associated with the film is the feature that distinguishes the Night Watch film from the absolute majority of other films and serials shot in Russia before. Thus, the graphic design, developed by the Studio, helped the film and related products, gain its present popularity.

This is the main task of a graphic design – to create a recognizable visual image, which reveals the subject matter of the product, with which it is connected. A unique, easy to remember symbol in the styling influences people, helping them connect all memories and associations, related to an object or a product.

Besides an advertising function, graphic design can directly attract attention towards the product. The FirstField studio developed a corporate style and a graphic design for the packaging set of the MAX Cut chain saws. In this case, the major element of the set design was a coloring composition, which resembled warning signs used for construction, logging and road equipment. This type of coloring underlines a serious character of operation of such an instrument, which requires attention and responsibility.

Thus, projects of the FirstField studio help producers of various products – from television shows to construction equipment make their production unique and visually recognizable.
