At this moment, music clips are an important component of the musical culture, its inherent element. Today a performer cannot achieve a high level of popularity, if his or her clips are not on television. Musical video reveals all facets of an artist’s talent, from vocal to dramatic capabilities.

Having all modern technologies of video production at its disposal the FirstField studio produces music video clips. Last projects of this kind are two versions of the Harsh Rap clip of the Diskoteka Avariya group.

In creation of music video clips, the studio utilizes all available modern arsenals of technologies: computer graphics, composing, 3D-graphics, color correction means and different digital video effects. Computer graphics makes it possible to create in video clips an image of those things, which are impossible to shoot with conventional means. It does not only increase visual quality of a video clip, but also helps save expenditure for costly stage set. Instead, we use elements of superimposed computer graphics.

Editing is the basis of production of any video, including musical one. The FirstField studio specializing in non-linear editing has gained rich experience in this domain and successfully applies it in different projects for television, cinema, and in music clips. Any the most dynamic source material can be substantially improved due to skillful editing, changes of views and shooting angles, selected from the footage. Expressive behavior of the Diskoteka Avariya group members in the Harsh Rap became even more brusque and explosive due to a quick sequence of scenes. Girls in this music clip looked especially sexy because of deterred demonstration.

Composing makes it possible to combine real shooting and elements of regular and 3D- computer graphics, adding it from time to time just to make images more picturesque, and sometimes – making it possible to use less material shot on location. In creation of the Premier-Minister group video clip with the Two Diamonds of Three Carats Each song the composing technique was actively used to superimpose computer graphics image on the live shots.

Use of special video effects dramatically increases impression produced by a musical video, expressiveness of images. Thus, a simple change of a shade of color in the image can influence the mood produced by a clip. One and the same scene can impose a completely different mood if it is made gloomier or on the contrary is made brighter and colors are intensified. It can multiply emotional effect of the musical video. Deep black color, always present on the screen in the Harsh Rap clip creates high contrast and an adequate atmosphere, which express a character of this musical video.

Due to some reasons, source materials, shot for the clip, can be of poor quality, but computer color correction and processing can improve them to meet the required level. Of course, it is not worth making a video out of completely unsatisfactory basic materials, but minor deficiencies are quite real to be remedied with the use of computer technologies.
